i liek it
only finished the first one, but i haven't gotten around to beating the second. so close to being done with it too, i was at the final boss but it takes so damn long i just about gave up. (ρ_;)

i also almost made a banner for heyuri using a hack of the title screen. it's been so long that i don't remember exactly how i did it but i believe i used some kind of mod tool that enabled me to mess with the pikmin's positions on the title - i would have to maek an image file with single colored pixels spaced out which would then be read by teh gaem as the different colored pikmin. the banner was gonna be a gif too but the filesize ended up being too big so i scrapped it.

That's a kewl banner concept, a shame you didn't complete the animated version - I'm sure it could have been compressed down to something reasonable!

If you're unable to remake it, we could always just use it as a static image like so

The original just had too many frames, over 90 which is about how much it took to loop back around to a similar frame when I cut it from the OBS capture. The Pikmin just move around too much to get a simple loop out of that so I had to cut it down to some 20 frames and then duplicate those to make a reverse loop. I can cut it down to less than that, but less frames equates to less movement and therefore a less smooth movement. It's the best I can do to make it work. :sweat2:

>therefore a less smooth movement
less smooth gif, i meant to say. liek it will look too jarring and stiff.

I LOVE PIKMIN
It's one of my favorite video game series. I love the gameplay, I love the setting, I love the OST & SFX and I love the many many creatures that inhabit PNF-404. I pretty much grew up with these games, and I simply adore them

I was so happy when 4 finally came out. It has its flaws, of course, but I still really enjoyed it. It seems that Miyamoto-san is doing everything in his power to push the series, which I really appreciate. It feels good to know that I won't have to wait another 9 years for Pikmin 5.

My favorite is probably 2. It has some short-comings, but it's still the one I enjoy playing the most. I would love 1 as much, if the Pikmin weren't so braindead. They seriously trip way too fucking much in that game.

I even played Bloom, the mobile game, for a while. Eventually I got bored of it, but who knows, maybe I'll install it again someday.

One of my favorite things about 2 was the Piklopedia. Therefore, here, have this really good arrangement of its theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7ybieUr6rc

I... Never played it! I remember feeling heart-broken when I saw the trailer, but I never actually gave the game a chance. I plan to eventually.

it was my first GameCube game
but it didn't quite click for me

got it for Christmas and I'm still 99% sure my family thought it was a Pokemon game
