just like phones, modern handhelds are way too big to comfortably carry around without a backpack or so...

expect teh vita is newer and has better games + it runs psp games.

but i am excited for whenever sony decides to maek aa new handheld... if that will ever happen?

One truth and one lie. Vita does run PSP games, but it has a horrendous library... that's why it's mainly used to run PSP games

the PSP is so good
mostly played GTA:VCS, Ridge Racer 2, Wipeout Pure, and Project Diva Extend on mine

oh, and Crazy Taxi even though the port is kinda shit - it plays well enough mechanically and all the handling is as it should be, but it runs way worse than it should even at 333Mhz (;´Д`)

My friend's Vita b0rk for a damage much smaller than what my PSP has endured many times. A portable device shouldn't be so fragile

yep, as an otaku, ofc i talk about teh japanese games. I could care less about western games Also, today there been a lot of fan translations of vita games + teh modding scene is really active.

the web browser was awesome.

Pro PSP tip: the original d-pad can't really do diagonals, but you can stick a small coin in the center of it to make them work

90% of my actual Vita game playtime was Ys Celceta, Ys 8, Project Diva, and Freedom Wars
wished there was a Vita GTA so badly

pro PSP tip: copy all your PSP games onto your Vita so you don't have to deal with the crappy PSP d-pad (or analog stick, or screen) (＾Д^)

admittedly, you only really need to do stuff like the coin trick on a 1000 series PSP
2000 models have a way better d-pad, even if nowhere as nice as the Vita one.

I have been through multiple PSPs... ( ´ω`)
at least they were cheap (´人｀) - this was early 2010s

in the meantime, my Vita has survived and thrived in the same amount of time (and longer) - I wouldn't consider the Vita to be particularly durable, but I will say that the screen and analog stick are not well attached internally in the PSP's design, 1000 or 2000 (haven't ever had a 3000 unit)
haven't had to care about a damaged UMD drive in a while thankfully because of the microSD to memory stick card adapters
so even if my UMD drive ended up busted, it didn't matter in the slightest when I had a 32GB card packed with games ヽ(´∇`)ノ

i enjoy the psp a lot it has my favorite games that can fit inside my pocket making it the best portable handheld console. you should play ape escape on the loose, disgaea afternoon of darkness and la pucelle ragnarok.

patapon 1 and 2 were fun games patapon 3 not so much but the 2 prinny titles were some tough games for the hardcore gamer!
