Do you like Oasis?
In the last week or so i listened to their first two albums for the first time, and then several repeats after that

My favorite songs are, too many to mention, but among them:
1. Some Might Say
2. Slide Away
3. She's Electric
4. Live Forever
5. Wonderwall (n00b pick, i know)

I tried listening to the one Blur album with Song 2 in it,got a few songs in, but didn't dig it all that much. Though it wasn't a fair chance, to be honest
Aside from that, i understand there's some rivalry between Blur and Oasis, what's that all about? unsure

My fav' Oasis song is Wonderwall because it's a very nice song and also because I've never listened to anything else by them \(^o^)/

It was mostly manufactured by the media, but they were the two-most prominent Britpop bands in the mid-90s. Oasis was from the north of England, and Blur was from the south - this played into the traditional/stereotypical divide/rivalry between the two halves of the country

Northerners are traditionally portrayed as poor, hard, tough, uneducated, working-class people, while southerners are usually portrayed as rich, soft, poncey, educated, middle-class and upper-class people. In reality it was never that clear-cut, but there's elements of truth to it and it's a stereotype that still persists, so the media latches onto it whenever they can

i feel like oasis is way better than blur for it to be a rivalry

I don' think it's rivalry, it's just that they're the two most famous britpop bands. Try listening to leisure or parklife, I don't like the song 2 album either, especially because I expected the entire album to sound like song 2, when in fact it was completely different.
