Maybe i should also reply to the thread properly. I only use heyuri nowadays, i used 4chan for porn when it was up
As for kara i'm not a huge fan (especially after they fired the new mod) but once in a while it's good to lurk. Gets stale very fast however

i started making my own imageboard which coincidentally had the same objective and vibe as heyuri (which i didn't know about at the time) a year ago then i got too busy to pay attention to it and forgot about it until my host sent me an email informing me that german authorities filed a complaint that i was hosting cp and sure enough when i checked it it was taken over by cp bots although i didn't ever advertise it anywhere since it was a wip so i just deleted everything because i didn't want to deal with it

you have to exclude them in the tor config file. i haven't done this in a long time so i don't remember the file's location or name or the exact syntax but it's something like

ExcludeNodes {xx},{xx}

xx being the country code for nodes you want to exclude (germany is probably de). you can also use like ExcludeEntryNodes and ExcludeExitNodes if you just want to exclude them from being used as entry and exit nodes. i would recommend completely excluding us, canada, israel, germany, and whatever "five eyes" countries i didn't mention. but if you actually want to do this you should look up how to do it properly because i'm speaking from memory and haven't done it in a long time.

I feel like there is a hueg cultural difference between the Western and Eastern imageboards. There are non-English western imageboards that are riddled with R8 materials, but only times I see them on Eastern ones are when they talk about 4chan or so. But I dunno much besides the Japanese and some Taiwenese ones
