Worst anime... there was one from the early showa era, it was practically a televised manga, just still images with voice over, black and white. It was pretty crappy cuz it was boring too. i forget its nameA lot of people like to claim Chargeman Ken is the worst anime, even japanese do. According to my anime list, which I haven't updated in years, the worst series which I've finished are DearS and Umineko. Worst series I dropped was Rizelmine, absolute trash that show.

Most post-"End of Evangelion" Gainax/Trigger shows (including FLCL & TTGL) and about 50% of SHAFT works are strong contenders for my personal "most overrated", but also the majority of popular anime since about 2012 Speaking of which, I've found that most post-2012 SoL/CGDCT shows freaking suck ballz, despite previously being a big fan of teh genre. For one, they're near-universally butt-ugly, seem to ignore that dark shades of color exist, and are painfully low-budget; the VAs are more generic and fake-sounding than ever; and most of them have nowhere near the comedic value, charm, or beauty/tranquility of older SoL shows/rant

Dream Hunter Rem. The first 2 episodes were okay, but then the ero completely stopped, the animation quality decreased, it became overly serious, and the last episode had some weird yaoi shit. I really like SHAFT, and I'd say it has a pretty underrated anime; Maria Holic is probably the anime that made me laugh the most. And I also liked most CGDCT anime I watched...On the topic of bad ones, though, Koisuru Astroid was probably the most boring anime I've ever watched.And on the topic of Gainax, I felt nothing at Gubuster.
