In my country a similar joke once led to a creation of an entire board lol xp That's how people were so upset about the joke.

Some people just spend too much time on the internet. Or not enough? One of the two.

1. A particular group becomes a cancer of the chan, like furries
2. You create a board for cancer, like furries, and get them to have fun there
3. You run the board and protect them so that they move there, custom tripcodes are a great bait to get people to move there. All of them would want a limited time colored tripcode with a cap icon.
4. After a few days you shut that board down and permanently range ban all IPs that have ever posted there in one click (along with entire ISPs, countries, and regions of countries that posted relatively much for a good measure if zealous)
5. You enjoy much less cancer, they move somewhere else

If there is a new influx of cancer wait until memory is blurry enough for them to fall again for it
Good classic bait

Hiroshimoot isn't nearly as cool as Moot to do such a thing again. cry
Or do anything, for that matter... other than selling user data. orz.

ponies are much less cancerous than vtubers or soyshitters

>permanently range ban all IPs that have ever posted there
Range bans are overkill since they also affect innocent users. I say that a better idea would be to permaban individual IPs and give a ban to the ranges that says permanent, but expires after a week
>>
or just ban teh rule breaking users as they pop up instead of all users with a certain fetish/hobby sweat2

>>136959
Only after we've banned everyone will imageboards be saved. nigra
>>
>>136958
And let them restart the router to post again and organize inviting to external sites where i cant ban them? No no no! If they initially met on the chan they would have no easy way to organize thanks to range bans, it is not the case as much as it used to be but still prevents recurring raids or reduces their intensity somewhat. If they are a significant minority which usually is the case then their external raid center would die in weeks after like 3 raid attempts and they would disperese all over the internet solving the issue. The less raiders join it the better because its population can increase like an avalanche if i do not act quickly and harshly.

I would let people appeal bans and i would look through the post history to make sure they are not my target and give them a pass to post with a certain cookie password i would provide for them.

I banned by range by default, most people can just evade them with little effort unless heavily mentally retarded
If it reduced raiders by half it would be a success anyway
