The National Weather Service in Grand Forks has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for; Cass County in Eastern North Dakota, and Clay County in Western Minnesota, until 8:30 AM tomorrow. At 8:51 PM, National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm located approximately 1 mile east of Wheatland, 4 miles west of Casselton, moving east at 45 miles per hour. The storm will be near Mapleton at 9PM, West Fargo at 9:06PM, Fargo at 9:11PM, and Moorhead at 9:13PM. Take cover now. Get to a basement, storm cellar, or other underground shelter immediately. Close and lock the entrance to the shelter. If you are unable to find an underground shelter, attempt to hide in a deep ditch, storm drain, or a site which is as minimally exposed to the sky as possible. If you are in a car, evacuate from the Fargo area immediately, heading in the north or south as directed by law enforcement. Do not leave your shelter or return to the Fargo area until the warning is lifted. No shelter above ground can protect you from this storm, regardless of its construction. To repeat, the National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Cass and Clay counties effective until 8:30AM tomorrow. Get to an underground shelter or evacuate now.
