I miss the 2000's. Even though there were no English imageboards, even if most Japanese media, save the most mainstream stuff, was inaccessible, even if you had to hunt down all your media physically. Things were simpler, things made sense. I wish I was a young adult at the time so I could have taken full advantage of the economic and social opportunities that existed back then.

Since there was less you could do while looking at a screen, people went out and did things together more. Like just going to the mall or renting a movie impromptu. That used to be an easy thing to do. Now you have to plan to do something with someone, and then two hours after they no-show they'll text you telling you they fell asleep and they're sorry they couldn't make it. sweat3

Being nostalgic to the point of tears over the 2000s is basically a requirement to post here. (´~`)

The most 2000s thing you can do is crap all over the 2000s and wish you were around for the 60s/70s/80s instead
>>

>even if most Japanese media, save the most mainstream stuff, was inaccessible
Most old anime I watch were fansubbed around the times they were released. Maybe there were less translated eroge, but people were learning Japanese then too

I think a bunch of Maxis games had Japanese releases that had content not in other releases?
