I feel kinda sad knowing that I won't be able to experience golden era of imageboards/4chan and that I'm stuck with fumbass social media sites. Anyone else feel the same way?Marked for deletion (Old)
There's more to life than just internet retardation
>There's more to life than just internet retardationLIES
i am 100% internet retarded
faget
"We've been conditioned to think"Profound.
Meh, don't worry about that too much. I used to feel that way but nowadays i'm happy with what i have, i hope that you also enjoy this place
"THEY DON'T THINK IT BE LIKE THAT, BUT IT DO"So right, mister negro. So right.
There were gay and retarded social media sites and other sites full of normalfags back in the day too, like myspace. I never used any of those sites because I wasn't a faggot. You can just not be a faggot and make the choice to not use social media sites today too.
>>131455the only positive to myspace was being able to add ur own css to ur page and make it as ugly as possible to own teh normies with epic eye raep.
I don't think there ever was a golden age, it's just that post-2015 4chan is such cancer that anything else looks good in comparison.
4chan and imageboard culture in general was a mistake. We should've just stuck with forums. Now politicians are relying on 4chan memes to write their propaganda.
>>131557thats not a good point. if 4chan didn't exist they'd just use cultural references to somewhere else
>>131594Of course they would, but them using 4chan references is a shit. It's like when Japanese TV started referencing 2ch and no one liked it
>>131605>It's like when Japanese TV started referencing 2ch and no one liked itThat actually sounds kinda cool, but politics is what you'd call Serious Business, they shouldn't be using memes in their campaigns for god's sake
The truth about the old Internet is that its spirit doesn't live on in garbage "webcore" Neocities websites nor in semi-ironic nostalgia. What made it great is the lack of direction and the creation of original content despite it. If you truly want it to live on, it starts with you. Start a site of your own, make your own HTML for it, have it have an actual use.
>>131607woah, so you're saying shitty CSS didn't make the old internet what it was? Expressing yourself genuinely and finding a place in the internet was? Crazy...
>>131608i feel like i can express myself on heyuri ヽ(´∇`)ノ
>>131606>it sounds coolIt wasn't. It was today's equivalent of seeing old men on TV say "nae nae" and dabbing
>>131609and as long as you're not participating in the more deleterious parts of the internet as well, you're doing well
>>131612idk what that means.. ┐(゚~゚ )┌ deletrius sounds like a black guys name lol
>>131616sounds more like a wizardDeletrius the Unwise
>>131617only the magic ban hammer can defeat deletrius the unwise... ヽ(゚ρ゚)ノ
show yourself Deletrius the Unwise!
Deletrius is the name of my cousin who grew up in the projects.
>>131606I've read about this somewhere... maybe on teh Wikipedia. Normal people always try to use slang words of underground social groups to sound cool. And counterculture diffuses into mainstream.
>>131495>it's just that post-2015 4chan is such cancer that anything else looks good in comparisonyeah, this.
