I haven't thought about it unti this thread, but i guess so. I think the best way to describe it is that Heyuri chose a certain style of internet culture and decided to carry that spirit on while isolating itself from the cultural environment that drove most people to find this place.
Borrowing certain foundations more than being meant to be a time capsule, which is something a lot of outsiders don't seem to get (or like)
