It's October, so let's have a spooky thread! Have heyurizens ever encountered the paranormal? Stories of ghosts, demons, UFOs, cryptids or anything of that sort are of course welcome, but also feel free to share tales of phenomena that might be explicable, but simply strange or rare. I myself have encountered a couple of strange phenomena, though they have naturalistic explanations. The first was that one night I fell asleep with my lamp on. I awoke in the middle of the night to see a shadow person next to my bed. It appeared as the silhouette of a woman with dishevelled hair. I acknowledged her and though her appearance was creepy, I didn't feel any fear whatsoever. I seemed to be in a trance state and I didn't feel there was anything abnormal about her presence. I simply turned off the light and went back to sleep. This was likely just a hypnopompic hallucination, although I guess you could say it was a ghost.The second was that once during a major thunderstorm I encountered ball lightning. Rain was pouring heavily and lightning had just struck near my apartment building, being so loud that it shook my windows. Then, I began to hear a faint ringing sound located above and behind where I was seated before I heard a loud pop accompanied by a flash of white light from within my apartment. Ball lightning was once considered paranormal but has since been confirmed to exist as a natural, though rare and unexplained phenomenon.Marked for deletion (Old)

Today i woke up and opened this board on my phone (something i do every single day), but today i went to page 10-20 and realised i didn't remember or read most of these threads, despite going here multiple times a day... So i think that's quite scary...（ ´,_ゝ`）

Of course, that could just be a delusion, but the most notable happened on US election night in 2016 when I was living on the west coast. Obviously it was very high-tension and politically tense. I was in my (very left-leaning) university's cafeteria for dinner at the time. I was reading the apocryphal books of the Bible at the time, and I believe it was 2 Maccabees I was reading (I'm not a Christian, but I was reading through it because I was studying comparative religion). In the midst of all the turmoil I thought of Madoka from Madoka Magica in my head, reaching her hand down to me from a pure white heaven. She told me, more in feelings than in words, "do not be afraid of the world which will be suffering and going through strife... your mind should be focused on that which is higher, as that is your mission."Message from a god maybe?

One time i was exploring an closed school / orphanage home(?) with some others. It had rooms for a lot of kids to live in. The old part was from the 1900s~ while extended around 1970~ and then got shut down. During this extension they added some sort of intercoms in each room to alarm guardians or something of this kind. While exploring during the day we found nothing at all to be wrong, nothing was on or running. That said, the school still had electric turned on but "abounded" or rather, not inn use for a long time. While we explored the upper floors on the old part of the school, time went by and it got dark. At later - we decided to go back to the newer parts to explore again, and at this time we took notice that one of these intercoms was on and simply transmitting an empty signal of "white noise". Nothing else was heard. But whats kind of creepy is that none of us left each other side during this time and we didn't hear anything else before this. Idk how it got turned on.
Another one is about my dead cat - which was sort of "murder" or put to sleep without me knowing it. She had two homes to live in, and one of her other "homes" decided to get rid of her. This happened while i was around 6-7yo - I was chilling in my bed with a really fluffy thick blanket. And after awhile from no-where I could feel and see how tiny small steps was walking towards me on the blanket just as a cat would. Sadly this really scared me.

I had a vision back in 2021, of this naga miko who lectured me on respecting all life and nature. I also sometimes hear a woman's voice talking to me and advising me, saying stuff like "Don't be so hard on yourself", "Don't do that", "Be careful", or "I love you." The weird stuff is usually dreams, usually about protecting or fugging lolis and hot monster girls, or sometimes experiencing alternate historical worlds. However, once I had a dream where I was lectured on nihilism. After wandering around some industrial areas and a carnival, this psychedelic music video played. Green miasmas shifted and moved, transforming from formless shapes into an eye, then the outline of a face and body and finally the full body itself. The music electronic and the lyrics, which I barely remember, were a spell: an attempt to cast out the nihilistic cancer in my soul.The demonic, well, some of these are dreams but they're too "real" IMO to be dreams, like marching through Hell with Roman Legions and seeing demons with DMT faces, or encountering Satan and being asked to help eight different souls in Hell so they could be redeemed. There's been some sleep paralysis events involving pitch-black figures. I've also seen some shit in the waking world - shadows moving around, the walls creaking, phantom smells, non-physical sexual experiences, etc., but you really don't want to know about that.I know there's a lot of dreams, but dreams are one of the main forms of spiritual communication.
>>120624Sorry you lost your cat friend too soon anon. I had a similar experience of feeling phantom paws walking on my bed at night, and when I looked there was no cat. My cats were still alive however, so I don't know what that was. Maybe it was the ghost of Pudding, who was my first cat I had when I was a toddler.
