i want to stay where i am right now! in vermont! just stay out of burlington and it's an amazing state. very homogenous, no violent crime, great winters.

My answer too. I love the cold. If I can't get to Alaska, I'll take wherever is coldest and it seems like upper New England might be the answer.

I lived in Oregon for a while and it was nice but more rainy than snowy. And too many obnoxious hipsters with ugly tattoos and piercings.
