windows 11 alldo im trying to give it a longhorn theme
Windows 10.Windows hasn't been good since 7... would put Linux on it honestly but I have a Nvidia GPU and I've heard gazillions of problems there, I got Nvidia so I could do emulation on Windows (since AMD has hideous issues there that I've personally seen lol)and then multiple Raspberry Pis with Pi OS due to strong first party support vs basically every other SBC ever, so everything actually just works instead of being on some 6 year old monkey patched kernelI should get a Pi 5 at some point, but I'm waiting for the Pi 500.
>>113811nvidia cards seem like the most difficult to use with linux, but i'll give you a secretvideo drivers on gentoo are piss easy to configure, I literally just typed into a text file VIDEO_CARD="nvidia" and it did it for mealthough in place of "nvidia" i use "nouveau" because their drivers are better, but the configuration is the samei imagine that the problem with other distros is that they try to do this shit for you, and somehow fail
I'm still using my Windows 7 PC. I may just quit using computers when it dies.
holy crap what a bunch of posers
>>113825they are posing for the picture lol
>>113803Linux Mint and Windows 10 on a separate partition when I need to.
>>113813nouveau is better? last i checked they were pretty bad compared to nvidia's proprietary drivers, did nvidia open-sourcing that thing i dont remember the name of help them that much in so little time?
i use mac oc
>>113965ah fail, os, os oSS!!!! AHHH!
>>11396510.6? why?I guess it's an old-ass machine, but that's pretty damn old too
Artixsystemd n00bs GTFO
Still using XP-tan Professional for shit like drawing/listenign to music/watching movies, playing emus etc. I'm never ever upgrading, I got traumatized by how bad was Wangblows V*sta.
>>114239what browser do you use, supermium
>>114239I used Vista deeeeep into Win7's lifespan. Not even SP1 lol, which I updated to very late. Only reason I even updated to 7 is because my Vista install just stopped booting one day, so I grabbed a 7 ISO and upgraded. I've seen way too many machines absolutely choke and die on it (one of my IRL friends had the absolute worst Vista machine I'd ever seen, just a balls slow, super unstable piece of shit), but my machine ran great. A lot of it is the massively inflated system requirements vs XP (like 10x the disk and 8x the RAM for a useful system), but a lot is shitty drivers from early in the OS's lifespan. What a fucking mess of a release...
Former Mint and Arch user. Currently on Windows 10. I did try Windows 11, it was complete shit. I'll continue using Windows 10 even if supports dies out next year.I'd use Linux if more softwares supported Linux and also if I didn't need it for projects.
>>114326older versions of Firefox still work on XP but it's a pain in the ass to browse teh modern bloated interwebs with so little RAM, so I don't use it often, for dedicated internet browsing I use a lappy that came with Winblows 7 already installed. Still, I'll stick with XP-tan for a looooong time because my drawing tablet is ancient (from 2001) and they never made any drivers for it that work past XP.>>114330It's a shame, I really liked Vista's aero interface, but the bad drivers, bad compatibility and unstable performance was too much at the time.
