I've been keeping tabs since january, i try to delete them when i can but tabs i havent deleted have increased faster than i can delete them.
If it were to guess, i have about 2,000 tabs, last time i auto deleted duplicate tabs it removed around 600

Now that I strarted taking advantage of tab groups, around 100. Mostly for temporary things that I know I don't need to hold on to for that long (upcoming preorders, YouTube videos to watch later).

On Firefox, if you have "Ask before closing multiple tabs" enabled, it will tell you how many tabs you have open when you go to close the window - then you can just cancel it

I had over 9000 a few days ago, but my PC crashed and I forgot to open them all because reopening each window took such a long time. Now I only have four windows with like 3000 or so tabs

i usually open around 50/60 a day..

I used to have about 30 to 40 tabs open but after switching from chrome to firefox, I'm only able to open about 10 before my pc grinds to a halt.

i disabled tabs on my browser because i think having more than one open at a time will poke your brain full of holes. i think the internet should be a place you travel to intentionally by opening the browser and leave by closing, not a state you are stuck in perpetually by leaving the browser open all the time with a billion tabs to read through. also it makes my computer run faster.
