i completely believe this, tbh. a lot of crossdressers and adjacent people are gynephilic and i personally think it does make sense. when i wear particularly masculine clothes that actually look good on me (my shape is awkward for it) i very much feel like i look more attractive for it to my own eye, although if it looks a little larpy i might feel embarrassed to go out in it.
