I'd rather have a PC with 8GB of RAM than a mac with 64GB (unless the SSD can be wiped and macOS replaced with a good OS)

Applefigs solder it to the board and same with hard drive, want 8 more gbs of ddr3? Pay 350$ extra! Want 512gb ssd instead of 256? That will be 300$ extra, CPU upgrade is DAME, GPU upgrade is DAME, you want better CPU then buy another one for 2000$
They have just a little more support than linux, all you can do is use limited apps from walled garden shop or just use a browser
You dare fix your own device - brick award just because and 300$ for a simple screen fix taking them 15 minutes
About as much tracking as whatsapp or snapchat baked into the system
Scanning your files (either is or was the case) and probably training AI from it (i would not be surprised)
They keep your private keys just in case police wanna take a look because apple prioritizes safety of your files or something

They are just as anti consumer as microsoft or facebook but many people think it is premium why why

Choice 1: get U-DIMM (PC format) DDR5 RAM for 400$
Choice 2: Get SO-DIMM (laptop format) to U-DIMM adapter from china for 8$ and get the same amount, same frequency, same size RAM for laptops for 100$
Laptop RAM is cheap as hell, Apple just taxes to have a profit margin of about 500%

i owned a macbook for a decade, and i recently switched back to windows 11. Its worst operative system i ever used, its so slow, its buggy, it has bloatwear and werid popups. Its 100% trash. I cant even customize it as i want. I only used it as for teh moment as i want to play a certain online game.
