It didn't come into my mind, I found that clip on gurochan/s/ while looking for something to fap to and it killed my boner. I was literally watching Precure in a small mpv window while reading Heyuri though so you were perfectly on the mark there. Klaus looks ugly and boring by comparison.

I really want to like western animated shows, I used to prefer them over anime, but it's hard to do so nowadays. They would definitely be more enjoyable without all the forced transvestite shit and political messages about men being bad. The last good era of western animation imho is represented by the early 2000s Cartoon Network

The first things that come to mind when I think "western animation" are 60s-90s Saturday morning cartoons and classic Disney & Warner Bros. I've never even heard of Klaus

I did have my own share of fun with the Western cartoons since that's all I could watch on TV as a kid, but I wouldn't watch anything non-Japanese on my own again

I remember thinking samurai jack sucked compared to rurouni kenshin when I was ~12

old-school western animation was good, even hyper-cheap Hanna Barbera stuff
then the 70s happened, pretty much nothing western from that era looks good
things recovered for a bit in the late 80s, into the 90s

then the mid 2000s happened and even if shows didn't literally use flash, they might as well have
things never recovered since then


western 3DCG animation has always been pretty good, but it has also always been less stylish than 2D animation

I remember being impressed at how good SWAT Kats looked back in the day... and they animated it in Korea and Japan lmao.
