I cannae stand using my right hand to play jrpgs, so I am considering purchasing a D-pad separate from my main keyboard, so that I can use my left hand to play jrpgs. Anyone do this?

Yeah sometimes i use a playstation controller d-pad with the analog rebound to arrow keys with AntiMicroX or qjoypad, but I prefer to use keyboard

I dunno what OS you're on, but there are various tools for Windows that let you remap keys - even one from MS themselves: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/powertoys/keyboard-manager

are they on RPGMaker? you should be able to use https://easyrpg.org/player/
and that will allow you to remap your keys

but I'm not left handed I swear! It's just it feels weird to use movement controls with my left hand, I am used to left hand for wasd and right hand for mouse. It feels really freaking weird using my right hand to move around

Yeah, I used to use a script to invert wasd and arrow keys, but doing that is annoying as if I want to alt tab or whatever I have to turn it off and it's just an extra step
