Correct, I somewhat pride myself in saving anything, my personal imageboard file archives only reliably date to 2019 and they are 880 GBs.

Especially for imageboards and bulky collections like +1GB I download almost anything, and I prioritize dying torrents too

Want me to download something for later to keep? I have spare 20 TBs. I do not hoard 3d porn though.

My silent hope is that old files would be worth something in the future, like I could ransom evidence and artifacts for internet historians or that I could trade fun files for fun files.

It's painful. This is my main regret, especially with things I made myself that actually saw some use. I have deleted my 4chan folders numerous times since 2012, when I suddenly get the feeling I'm going to die and my family will look at my shit. What I don't remove is my anime, not even ones I found shitty. Once downloaded they are there for safe keeping. I get a new external drive every four years or so and copy it all over because I'm not /g/ enough to do it some more intelligent way. My first external from 2013 is actually still going ( ´ω`)

Do you have any Ichigo Mashimaro stuff from e-hentai/exhentai in original quality (requires an account and enough gallery points to download, any kind of web scraper will get lower quality compressed versions)? HDoujin is the only site I know of that archives exhentai doujins in original quality but it only has five out of hundreds.

when you die all of your precious files disappear so it doesn't matter in the end, though it is good to keep some animu and vidya in case the internet goes out. also, search engines have become completely abysmal and useless, so even if you wanted to find something you probably won't find it, had a hard time finding this image even though it was posted so much

I keep meaning to save cool pages and threads and shit, and I don't. (;´Д`)

I do have a few PDFs of when I first had the idea and I really do wish I was able to keep up the habit - there isn't a ton of cool stuff, but I saved an awful lot of really useful instructions for shit, and it is just nice to look back on memory lane

its not too hard to make an exhentai account. just sign up, use e-hentai for a bit (liek 1 or 2 weeks) then log out, delete cookies, then log in via the FORUMS, and go straight to exhentai.

Mark - along with a large portion of 8/v/ - was still clinging on to the barely-functioning 8kun because he was on Jim's payroll, and there were a few others sticking around as well (though vastly less than on 8chan proper). Virtually everyone else either stayed on their respective bunkers or went back to 4chan. Mark eventually migrated to 8chan.moe somewhere around April 2020 due to loli getting B& on 8kun

It's also possible that you're getting mixed up with Ebola-chan, which was popular in 8chan's early years and had a dedicated board
