you know, Virtua Racing is so fucking stylish that I can almost believe they made it look so sharp, flat, and digital on purpose (as opposed to the fact that they didn't have any hardware that could map textures onto things lol)
seeing the promo art lean into it really sells that feeling, even if it really was just them dealing with the limits of what Sega knew how to design in 1992

the game still plays so fucking well too
