ONE ~Kagayaku Kisetsu e~ got a remake 2023. I beat non of u really know this game, but it's KEY before they started KEY! Im DL both - but cant decide. I am of leaning of playing the 1998 version. Both are voiced.

Can you post more detailed instructions please? I have Steam installed in my Linux, but as a flatpak.
I tried running it with Bottles, but got as far as installing it (successfully). But it segfaults.

I'm about go down the rabbit hole of setting up a Win 98 DOSBox in Japanese...

First off, i DL it from here:

I use a software on Linux called "Lutris" & Installed teh .exe as a windows executable. WinXP, 32bit, Local: Japanese.

Select the .exe and run.
Select installations location etc. Install, run and close. Open LUTRIS settings on installed game and change teh "executable file" to teh same you install with. Save. It's rather easy. I also had to maek a folder "sav" in games route map to be able save data.

Lastily, i just right click in Lutris and add to Steam. But this isnt necessary if you boot from Desk. There some guides on youtube about Lutris and VNs. I use Lutris for all my Windows gammes. Works everytime.

Instead of playing the game, I went ahead and installed Windows XP SP3. It turns out it runs even better than DOSBox (not that surprising). And I can run a bunch of other games here too!

I finished Akanes route. I went into this game with zero knowledge about story etc - so i had zero exception besides knowing its "KEY" - which I love for their nakige. ONE is also nakige and plays as a typical "KEY" game. Both story wise and narrative. I really did enjoy her route and she's was very cute. However, it didn't hit as hard as other KEY games did when it comes to feelings, which is also expected in how long Clannad or Little Buster are. That said, I had alot of fun! Great game! :biggrin:
