I just watched Haibane Renmei. I wished we could've seen what was beyond the walls or at least who was the bird, but I guess that was the intention, otherwise the metaphor for death kind of falls apart
>Haibane Renmeilooks right up mai alley, surprised i haven't heard of it sooner
I watched it a while ago. I remember overall enjoying it, but thinking the first half was a bit too slow I believe there were some interviews with its creator u could read for some answers
it's one of my favorite, teh character designer is ABe - who also created Lain, NHK, Texhnolyze ettc. And her!
i couldnt physically see the last episode because of tears. i was ugly crying but first few episodes are very boring
>teh character designer is ABe - who also created Lain, NHK, Texhnolyze ettc.so that's why it looks so familiar!
I love this anime The first time I watched it I guess I wanted to know everything, but now I just enjoy the story and characters as is. I really don't care about some detailed explanation, it's more about the atmosphere, the earthy style, the general theme and the music for me.
It's a classic!I really liked Niea_7 by ABe, no worse than Haibane IMO, and even better in some aspects. I found the comedy and SoL elements much more fun, and teh drama also made me tear up a bit. It didn't wreck me up like Haibane Renmei last episode did, but still hit close to homeAlso ABe is racist towards Indians lololo>it's one of my favorite, teh character designer is ABe - who also created Lain, NHK, Texhnolyze ettcNiea_7 and Haibane Renmei are the only two animu he directed and wrote the script for. He did not create the ones you listed, although he took part in the production as an artist/animator. It's like saying that Akio Watanabe created Monogatari, Di Gi Charat and Higurashi Gou
