Anyone else watch Precure here?I wish it didn't take THIS LONG for the main cast to finally come together in Wonderful Precure.I also wish there was a way to get more fighting this season, especially coming off of the extremely good Precure All Stars F, which was basically everything I like about the franchise condensed into a (way too short) movie.I get that the Garugarus are actually cute plush animal fairy things and beating them up is probably a bit much, but I want some amount of action, you know? It's the founding premise of the show.Komugi and Yuki have been great, at least. Mostly Komugi. I love that dog.Marked for deletion (Old)
I only know it has a cool openinghttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRABiokFMa0

>>19there's all this weird shit with Pegitan getting fucked up for some reasondunno why, but the nihonjin made a lot of it (´人`;)
Few weeks ago, I dumped some Pegitan stuff I found on Futaba channel here:https://boards.guro.cx/fur/res/14915.html
>>19>i haev it download but i haevnt gotten around to watching it yet.which season are you gonna watch?watching it all from the top is a massive struggle, I don't know anyone who actually got into the franchise who did that, they ended up quittingit doesn't help that the first two seasons, while fairly iconic, are also very roughFutari wa Pretty Cure was clearly meant for 26 episodes and absolutely got stretched out, then it got another season with the same cast.pick the one with the cutest girl (see pic, although it doesn't have the last two seasons on it) -- even if you end up picking Cure Black or White, that just means you'll be invested in whatever happens with them.
>pick the one with the cutest girlso is it non-linear? I wouldn't want 2 miss out on teh full story context
>>38They aren't linked, except for shows with direct sequels. Similar themes and plots, but each season is pretty much its own thing. There's occasionally a hand-off episode, where the previous season Cures introduce the new ones, but that's usually the most connection they get (and the background cosmology of how things work in the world often conflicts between season to season). This isn't UC Gundam, where I'd absolutely tell you to watch 0079, then Zeta, then ZZ, etc, etc all the way up in production order. There are three lines of direct sequels so far:* Futari wa Precure -> Max Heart* Yes 5 Precure -> GoGo! -> Otona Precure '23 (also features characters from Futari wa and Splash Star)* Maho Girls Precure -> Mirai Days (upcoming)There's a major exception in Hugtto Precure, which has quite a few older season Cures show up later in the show and it is nice to know who they are, but the target audience probably didn't know them that well since they're literally 5 and have maybe seen and understood 1 or 2 Precure seasons tops. I would suggest saving it for later though. But yeah, there are basically 4 shows in the franchise where order matters, excluding the movies which generally want you to have seen a few of the shows up to their release (good luck waiting to watch Precure All Stars F if you need to know EVERY Cure). Some movies are actually self-contained and just expect you to have seen the show they're based in (and not event the whole thing, they tend to be set halfway through a season), but a lot aren't.Have fun! If you don't like a season, pick another one. My overall favorite is Fresh (warning: it is probably the ugliest season), and Heartcatch is typically considered to be the best regarded one. My favorite characters are from Kirakira (this season sadly cuts back on the fighting by a lot), and I really, really like Yes 5, even if I don't actually think it needed another season (and then Otona is a decent continuation after that, if a bit hamfisted with its moral).
is there any character in the entire franchise with a funnier name than this guy from the first episode?
I been wanting to view it - but teh ep count is 200+
>>70pick any season other than the ones listed as direct sequels in >>46they aren't connected otherwisein fact, fuck itgo watch Go! Princess Precure right now ヽ(・ω・)ノvery good seasoneach Precure season is still like 50eps though lol (⌒∇⌒ゞ)
Will I liek this if I loved ojamajo doremi and I'm craving for more like it?
>>120Tough to say. I actually did get into Precure because of wanting more to watch after Doremi, but as a franchise, Doremi gets to go where Precure can't regarding how it handles various subjects.I would definitely suggest Heartcatch Precure if you're coming from Doremi and want to get into the series (Umakoshi did designs for it, and I feel like it comes a lot closer to how Ojamajo Doremi handles things than the rest of the franchise), but as a whole, it's a different, fluffier, more actiony kettle of fish, and maybe Heartcatch might give you expectations for the rest of the series that just aren't true. ┐(゚~゚)┌If you aren't expecting "basically more Doremi", you'll probably have fun with the series.
>>129Thanks for the detailed reply, I'll start watching heartcatch and will report what I thought about it.>If you aren't expecting "basically more Doremi", you'll probably have fun with the series.I was actually feeling conflicted about this since I actually want more doremi but I really liked how the anime ended. I hope I can like precure for what it is
Futari wa Precure is good if you don't care about story and just enjoy watching cute flat chested girls move around on your screen. Not as good as Doremi but still enjoyable.
I was wondering why ep 42 of the first season was so good so I looked through the staff credits and it looks like this guy is the reason:https://myanimelist.net/people/6823/Daisuke_NishioHe also directed ep 28 which is the most ero episode if you like hot sweaty girls.
>>132 futari wa is one of my favorites actually! I’d like to get my hands on a physical copy if I can some day
