I don't feel that I can relate to N・H・Kにようこそ! at all. Most of the situations are so extravagant and surreal. Dating a girl? Traveling to an island with a group of suiciders? Participating in a Comiket alike fair? Does anyone here have such an experience? I don't, that's for sure.

Sure my apartment is filled with garbage, I'm unemployed, and parents pay for my living. But what's the only things I can relate to. Other than that N・H・Kにようこそ! is at the same level of fiction as an isekai or harem title.

I agree that NHK isn't relatable but Watamote is even less so because Tomoko is a girl. It also isn't at all believable that a girl as cute as her could possibly have trouble finding a husband. I don't care how bad she smells, I would just wash her before impregnating her.

Someone came up with a theory that Tomoko is a hikikomori guy that at some point became insane, and now he believes that he is a girl. That explains a lot, e.g. why people ignore him and treat him like a freak.
