First episode releases in Jabanees time June 2. Are you excited for it? And, more importantly, do you smoke like Chainsmoker cat?
>>
thanks for the reminder I completely forgot about yani neko, ep01 tomorrow or day after it seems :nyaoo-closedeyes:

I misread the airing date by 23 days(;ยดะ”`)
>>
ใƒฝ(ยดใƒผ๏ฝ€)ใƒŽ i cannot wait. i need my smoking catgirls now ใƒฝ(`ะ”ยด)ใƒŽ

At first I thought it was just an average CGDCT type of show with yet another stupid gimmick... but then I saw that other catgirl injecting heroin in the trailer, and I've also read it's social commentary on abuse and dependencies?

I am still skeptical and my expectations are low, but I am now interested and I plan on watching it

Also my thoughts

i need 2 watch it! its neko after all! :3

I found the manga to be an absurd comedy. I hope the anime adds a bit more to it, cuz while i found it funny, i didn't find much to it (ยดไบบ๏ฝ€)
>>
First episode aired yesterday, I think.

It's not bad, I think it's a black comedy type of thing. You laugh at Yaniko's state, but also feel sorry and reflect a bit. Still, I can't really say it entertained me that much.

What is it with smoking in anime this year? I thought we weren't supposed to promote smoking anymore?
There's a new series out about a mid 40s salaryman smoking behind a grocery store and meeting a girl too. Is smoking making a comeback?
>>
i am never watching netflix "anime"

Big tobacco is back at it again! Would also explain why the production value is so high
>>

I agree. I found it still sorta funny, even with the kiddie poop jokes. Though, i think the first episode was definitely weak.
I hope this doesn't become one of those anime for me where the opening is the most memorable part...
>>
They're marketing the crap out of this. Not my thing. A bit odd that smoking is treated like such a novelty. I wonder what that's about.
>>
isnt odd how a mainstream anime like this is being pushed as "ground breaking anti censorship" anime, but the transgressive barriers theyre breaking is literal drug use?

Excuse me, but is this the 1960s? how is doing drugs controversial? You go outside and you trip over heroin zombies.

We have global banks censoring artists for drawing lolis, but this anime which acts like an educational video for drug addicts is considered "anti-censorship"?

Something is very fishy here.

Quite the america-centric worldview you have there. In Japan, there are hardly any drugs. Even alot of prescription meds like adderal are banned there. Drug use still IS unheard of and controversial there. Same goes for much of east asia. Keep in mind that in places like Singapore you can get the death penalty for carrying in personal amounts of thc oil
>>
>Japan, there are hardly any drugs.
An america-centric worldview to assume thats a bad thing.
>>
>>6826
I didn't assume it was a bad thing

>An america-centric worldview to assume thats a bad thing.
Lol, it's literally because of the U.S. that cannabis is banned in Japan.
It's actually very American to be against it
>>
Normally depicting something as done by anime catgirls would make me think positively of it but watching the first two episodes of this thing just made me want to go murder drug addicts.
>>
Drugs are ez money... Money rules the world... akirame...
>>
Just watched the first 3 episodes and I found it hilarious
