I don't mind people leaving for it. If I tried to quantify likability of a chan I would say it is the amount of users who produce a quantity of posts where each post carries a quality factor.

So shrinking number of users is not bad in itself, it can be good if bad posters leave because the average density of quality is much higher and that is the true factor of how good a chan is.

People who left because of /j/ would not be able to act roles for fun anyway. Or ignore the board itself for their sanity. You can hide the link with any browser filter and forget about it forever in 15 seconds, if people can't do that and decide to leave instead - it proves beyond any doubt the quality they represent - unable to do basic browser tweaking, a normalfag characteristic. They can't hide it, they can't stop obsessing about its existence, and get butthurt because they don't like it. Immature.

Users of /j/ don't tend to lower quality of other boards so it is good. All one could say that it is board bloat, but new boards are rare here anyway. Last new board was added quite a bit ago.

Besides only westerners and followers of abrahamic religions in general are angry over gay stuff like no other, with respect to religious people, I don't like real life gay behaviour either, but that is just playful text.
