>prior to then he still administrated under kuz's direction
I did have total independence from kuz. As I said back then: That said, he is my close friend whom I regularly talk with, so I can still consult for his views when I want. You can say I value his opinions
>he had nothing to do with the direction or moderation of the site
Not directly... I suppose there was just some ToS of KolymaNET, but he was more easy-going because of me and didn't want to cause troubles/possible dorama :nyaoo-closedeyes:
>a brief period around Feb/March 2023 where he tried to re-insert himself
Are u talking about the textboard template? What happened there caused more dorama than I'd liek, but it was all under my supervision. He proposed switching to a more developed version (since noone else was developing koko at the time) made by him for his another project (apiru). I didn't support the idea through, but decided to see what users had to say anyways. They didn't like it so I made him convert back. From thereon I don't think he ever tried to step in with KolymaNET.
>And the real reason he stepped down was because he was at odds with the userbase
It's not false that userbase had a distaste at that point due to his involvement with R8 sites, but many others were sad to see him leaving Heyuri (including you - see your own post while he was stepping down: >>61213 )
>kuz was working on several non-lolico Heyuri reboot attempts immediately after lolico's closure
at the first, he was trying to convince lolico to work together but that didn't work
>After those attempts failed, kuz was in support of letting Heyuri die and replacing it with SH until he was finally persuaded by users to bring Heyuri back again
This is just incorrect. By late September (I'll declassify this much), Kuz, me, Skyzzerz and another individual were working under 9CG to bring back Heyuri by any means in a daily basis. I don't want to detail what made lolico to give up but it wouldn't be without kuz really wanting to bring Heyuri back. At the end lolico regretted his actions, we all made up and became friends so it's OK :nyaoo-closedeyes:
>December 2020 and ends in April 2022 - the most inactive and depressing time in Heyuri's history
Personally, I perceived December 4 boot of Heyuri to be a miracle and was very optimistic thereon
There were ups and downs at that time too, but I'd give that title to the time between Heyuri going down and kuz making his mind to revive Heyuri.

He has said to me that he'd like to make up with u somehow, but was also perplexed by what he called sourness
