>I'm old enough to remember when there was a pretty big fuss about someone making a heyuri discord server for notifications...
But apparently not old enough to remember that there was a Heyuri dicksword used for chatting from the moment lolico launched the site, up until at least 2021 (or maybe 2022, I forget since I never personally joined it) - which was later made notifications-only. It recently got shut down by dicksword, presumably due to it being associated with the same account as gurochan's - we asked at teh recent townhall if it should be revived, but there was never a "big fuss"

Crossplay/crossdressing in anime/otaku communities has been a thing forever, and so have traps on imageboards - including this one. Sweet Emo (the one posting their pins, one of which included a bisexuality flag and another a gay rainbow) is an enigma and an anomaly that doesn't reflect anyone else on the site... or possibly the planet

There's nothing about Heyuri that says gay stuff isn't allowed - in fact, even tranny pr0n is allowed - we just decided a while back as a community to ban trans-related discussion cuz it's annoying to read users bickering about it non-stop as they do on virtually every other imageboard these days. The ban includes both those calling everyone under the sun a tranny, as well as those who spam "trans rights" everywhere

>And you are not allowed to even so much as lightly tease people since that is "trolling" and against the rules.
Not true - trolling Heyuri as a website or trying to make rule-abiding users leave the site is against the rules, but fun/playful teasing is totally allowed and commonplace. Obviously, if your idea of "lightly tease people" is just calling them "niggerfaggot tranny", then ur post will probably get baleeted

>mostly because im against 4/soc/-style attention whoring
Before 4/soc/, those kinds of threads were a mainstay of 4/b/. They'd gotten out of control over there to the point of needing a containment board, but that's not the case on Heyuri - we only get threads of that nature once in a blue moon, and they're usually fun events
