We don't delete long informative/long posts just because there is one "unwelcome" word in them, that would be lame. Rule 8 punishes "ruining fun", not "having fun in the way we usually don't do" (that's not the best wording for it but u should get what I mean, there are stuff like posting s*yjaks in a non-R8 "intention" granting bans, but that's not teh topic now)

That said, I couldn't help but notice it too. It's understandable that it's simply the way some of our younger users have been naturally having fun speaking for years until coming to Heyuri but there is a reason why they are otherwise b& words.

In the past, >>62872 was suggested. At the time I made the post >>62874 in that thread - I don't think forcefully filtering the words to hide users' n00bness will educate them.

Instead, I consider working on a javascript that would listen the comment box, and throw out mere "warnings" about certain words, and give suggestions for alternatives & explain why we don't prefer to use them etc. That would give users liberty to use whatever word they want to (at their own risk) while educating them before they even make the post.

A warning message would appear like:

Seems you are going to use the word cringe, which may be a buzzword banned by Rule 8. Its usage of slang originates from (i dunno lol), and is usually associated with a certain subculture that's not aligned with Heyuri's culture.
Consider replacing it with something else, perhaps one of these words: "sux", "lame", "embarrassing", or just the proper adjective "cringeworthy" (suggestions welcome).
Ignore this warning if you are using it in the dictionary meaning of the verb for "to shrink back in fear or discomfort".

(ignore the specific explanation for "cringe" I came up quickly, also I'd make it so it links proper sources for claims & English dictionaries for definitions)
