I had real issues with the content of the tips!! (mainly the 2nd half, as previously stated)

I'm repeating myself, but you can't just take current Heyuri users into account - many of them arrived here post-January 2022 (some of them having never even used another imageboard before, so they have very different expectations and tolerances), and they made their choice to stay here after that page already existed. Current users are therefore very likely to be more accepting of it, because everyone who might have had a problem with it would have decided not to become a user!

Rather than just considering current users, you have to consider potential users too - particularly older imageboard users who would likely have a great time here, and would be a great influence and boon to the site. Based on discussions outside of Heyuri that I'm sure you've seen, there's good reason to believe that there are those who were once interested in frequenting Heyuri, perhaps saw the likes of the netiquette/tips page and thought it seemed like Heyuri's admin/mods were way too controlling/overbearing and attempting to "force" a culture (which is how that page always looked to me, for one), and chose to leave Heyuri on that basis. That would be a serious shame, especially considering that almost everything on that page was never actually taken into account when moderating
