I still think it'd be better to just absorb 5 & 7 into Rule 8 and nuke the rest - most of it is totally unnecessary, and all the additional anal-retentive minutia regarding how a user posts and how they format their posts should be totally up to the user as long as it's in keeping with the global/board rules

Variety makes Heyuri more colorful and interesting, and I think that page's existence inspires those who don't know better to become boring clones of each other. I believe it's better that we discuss things as users and let opinions and good arguments for/against these types of things form naturally rather than have the admin state "this is how things are done on Heyuri, I suggest you do the same" - especially when it's stuff that nobody mentioned or gave a crap about before 2021-2022

And I'm saying that as the fag that originally brought up half the things on that page in various off-handed replies to inquisitive users about how things used to be VS how they are now in the first place. I never intended to inspire some n00bs to become the freaking "newfag police", which is way worse and more annoying than all those other things
