Logging of past entries was always the case, but there is some kind of limit on it. I think it's just that the recent update made the rendering of the history element much more heavy, so it has more of a negative impact (;´Д`)

I did toy with turning off the history a while back (you can do it with HTML attributes) but reverted it - I'll try it out again. COW (RIP ;_;) made a userscript earlier this year that kinda replicates the functionality, which may or may not perform better: https://up.heyuri.net/src/6313.js
