To clarify: OP is the webmaster of Cy-X, and he's messily quoting his own thread on his own forum, lambasting his own userbase for complaining about the modern internet, going through the effort of using all these alternative protocols and services--only to end up repeating the same thread, the same complains about the modern internet with no end in sight. Of course, switching to open chat protocols, writing your own forum software, etc. these are good things and I don't mean to put you down for that. The internet, operating systems, GNU or otherwise, cost an incredible amount of money to write and manage. The Open Source ecosystem has for a very long time been integrated into American tech/business world. This is not a proclamation of corporate superiority, my favorite programming language for instance (Factor) has been written as a purely hobbyist pursuit over the course of two decades, and many stupid choices in languages I would like (Clojure), or pointless depreciation (Win7/Python) come from trying to appease retards in corporate positions--corporate America is managed by retarded faggots who don't deserve their money, and it gets dumber and more inbred every year.

Point is, if you want to change the internet, you need fuckloads of money. And a business that keeps turning that money into more money.
