Firstly, the post ur quoting was simply me clarifying that [REDACTED] wasn't TikTok culture (as was being claimed), but that it was instead a shortlived-but-massive viral internet/pop culture phenomenon - I wasn't arguing that it should be kept on Heyuri

Secondly, using hashtags ironically began around the time of "#YOLO" in the early 2010s - regular twitter/social media users were doing it as part of a general social media meme ("hashtag x, hashtag y," etc.), and "ironic shitposters" on imageboards would emulate it by putting them at the ends of their posts to piss other users off. Both the twitter/social media usage and the "I'm doing it ironically" usage are the epitome of kuso 2010s web culture, and therefore it falls firmly under Rule 8
