False dichotomy. Not wanting to look at shock images does not mean I enjoy or want to go to places like /pol/. In fact if anything, /pol/-esque boards love to shock and disturb people by being endlessly graphic and offensive, which is in fact the same motive behind the random "HAHA SHITTING DICK NIPPLES" posts. (None of you are actually hardcore enough to fap to that. You scratch your freshly grown pube beard on your pimple covered face and chuckle that you're so edgy and cool because the average age of this site is roughly 15)
Believing gentlemanly discussion of "AI videos of feces spraying out of children's prolapsed
ANUS
es" is 1) Unique to Japans internet or 2) Any more prevalent in Japan than it is in the west is also wrong. There are plenty of forums for it in the west, they just typically aren't anonymous. Go to the dark web and you'll find old men politely talking about such things with smiley emoticons and whatnot. What differs about Japan is the lack of distinction between anonymous and non-anonymous forums. Here in the west, "imageboards" have developed a certain culture about them that makes calm discussions less frequent.
That out of the way, even if you were right, just because a tiny minority of people on futaba channel, who represent a tiny minority of Japans population like to post that shit doesn't mean we have to. Most people find that disgusting, whether they are from Japan or elsewhere.
