if you look at impoverished slavic-adjacent types in the balkans, its the same thing, their skin is nice, they eat good food.
But they also cant afford make-up

I think make-up is a scam, you put it on, and it damages your skin, so you use more, which damages your skin more.
These people in foreign countries have great skin because they eat normal food and dont wear make up. (´･ω･` ) call me crazy but i think make up was a mistake and is harming us all.
