now that the /f/ board on 4chan is officially no longer coming back, i hope heyuri becomes a new home for everyone.

>It had to happen at some point
It doesn't make it any less painful.

It should've been killed off back in 2020. The ruffle era of /f/ was terrible.
Nothing but spammers and threads that barely got any replies. If those same guys from that awful period of /f/ migrate over here, I expect the same thing to happen.
>>
>threads that barely got any replies
u know, the only solution is having more people in...

4/f/ was a shell of itself during the last few years of its existence
now we're lucky Ruffle these days works much better than it used to do

>It had to happen at some point
No it didn't. It stayed up 4 years after flash died and there wasn't any problem. There's no real reason why couldn't keep going.

Have you fags actually used /f/ before the ruffle era? With the exception of the spike in 31 December, /f/ was just as barren before the death of flash as after. It's real loss in activity was slow, over time, and happened long before then.

yah
again, everything is apparent from the stats already
https://archive.4plebs.org/f/statistics/activity/
it's not to refute your point though, I am not claiming 4/f/ was active around late 2010s
and I wasn't around earlier than that...

ruffle is a mistake
one of the last threads on /f/ says "flashes that don't work with ruffle should be not allowed" like wtf
I think it's okay to have it, as an accessibility option
but obviously flash is meant to be used with flash and if you don't it's your problem
be it the projector or having a non gaygle-browser that still can into flash

The opinion of a random fag doesn't represent the entire board and it's moderation

It did seem though that many such people appeared over the "ruffle era" of flash.
Even letting community degrade to the point of such statements being posted unironically shows how little n00bs like me cared about actual flash.
Every other comment in many threads was "doesn't work with ruffle". We just got placated about it instead of banning cheeky rufflefags.
<As if there was moderation on /f/.
