i bought one of those once thinking it was going to be SO COOL and the only thing i ever managed to pick up was old guys talking about gophers in their yards

Do you need a license to buy one?
>>136071No, to operate it yes but you don't REALLY need it
chinese sell FM/AM radio transmitters that have power ranges which far exceed FCC guidelines, they get past this by 1. not caring, 2. putting a dinky antenna on. 3. putting a warning on it, telling you that you can only broadcast so many distanceHowever, the antennas they use can be switched out with those baofeng whip antennas or even larger ones and can be operated in a very illegal way which i do not recommend Σ(;;゚Д゚)
>>136071>>136074no one cares except the smelliest nerds and the oldest men. Both will try to report you to the FCC for not using the right jargon. They have nothing better to do and triangulating your location is like the most arousing thing they can imagine.
