The moment to moment gameplay is regular side scrolling 2D action which is fairly fun, but honestly the utter absurdity of the cutscenes makes it fun to play. The game is really short, like only about 2hrs, so the cutscenes are really frequent too. Also, some things like the background art can be really quite good, and some of the dungeons are quite imaginative unlike a lot of Zelda games which tend to repeat the same few dungeon ideas.
