It is a phase for every nation that is going forward who was not a conqueror last century. It was a phase for Poland too not that long ago. Liking your appearance and appearance of your kind is strongly correlated to belonging to a powerful nation. That is the reason why pale people from the north despite being an anomaly are the universal default and beauty (for now). For the same reason many Heyurizens like traits of Jap women - because that nation was powerful and association with powerful nations that accomplished big things in contrast to your kind which did not do anything notable. It makes you feel like you (of shameful ancestry) are worth more around them (of proud ancestry) like diffusion. Especially if most preferable to you is to have been born one of suggests you wish you were inherently of proud ancestry instead of having to hang out with them to make up for it an feel better by them accepting you as if you belonged to their proud nation - but that is an illusion.

Association with a nation that is known for great things is preferable, rather than association with those nations that are known to have been under somebody's boot. But times change and it becomes less and less relevant.

At this pace by the end of the century Europe will be completely irrelevant and oversaturated with people who come to Europe to associate with European nations for wealth and fame; and that ease of association will dilute the subconscious image people around the world about this place and these nations; people will imagine a Moroccan face when saying "Dutch", or they will recall images from the BBC when ramadan begins and how streets of London are preparing in millions. China at this moment got higher GDP than the EU and EU will never catch up. "German cars" are a fading memory. The Chinese bought out entirety of Volvo recently! I do not remember the last time Italy or Spain did anything notable.

An average face in USA will change and future generations that will be born in 2050, 2080 and later will associate only the times that they were born after as the image of USA and Europe since they would not be able to look into the past and associate any other image than the present. Old tales of gramps like us will become legends and myths that nobody can imagine and comprehend, that we lived in times when our nations were the greatest on earth with no equals. But with passing decades sprout others to be our equals and superiors. How will beauty standard change when that inevitably becomes the case? Traits you loathe today will become the most preferable perhaps.

As an example; people around the world have accepted Korean phenotype as attractive at this point despite Korea being a forest with brutes 80 years ago, who were ruled by the chinese and japanese for very long time. Very shameful, fallen state, no legacy, ancestors dishonored. But it changed and their kind started doing big things. Now being Korean means instant fame or at least recognition as a notable nation, not a subhuman. Same is happening to the Chinese who 20 years ago were living like an average Congolese today. The same will happen to your kind and you. As your kind gets global respect for deeds and society - it will also get recognized as good breeding partners (because of the fame of your kind) and so traits of your kind will become beauty to most.

There is no benefit to deny your ability to accomplish big things or see yourself as inferior simply because you have no famous and respected ancestors and you inherited no legacy. The legacy is in the making! You are responsible for your kind's legacy! Leave a legacy you wish you had been given. Echos of your work may resonate for eternity and lift your kind to the most respected of our species, you just don't know it yet.
