I had a friend who just went to Japan and he took a picture of a section of junior idol DVDs in a shop in Akihabara. I don't know if any of them were new releases, I recognized at least one classic from the 2000's. But Moecco and Cho-Bo are still publishing monthly issues that come with DVDs at least.

And speaking of CP laws, Japan made them stricter in 2015 so it's a lot more tame now. I imagine less people are buying them as a result. So while the industry seems to have changed and wound down a little bit, it still exists.
