its not an understatement that a lot of the posts online whether they are organic or inorganic are attempting to shape your mind. Reddit in particular is a hub of manufactured consensus (due to government involvement) But the same can be said about 4chan, where outside influences pump as much negative posting telling users not to like things, or not to do things, and the end result is a consensus of not doing or liking anything and being miserable. （ ´_ゝ`）
Likewise boards like pol are so polluted with false or counter information that nothing at all appears credible, even if it might be true. and thats by design.

Now more than ever people need to be themselves and be weary of consensus opinions or expectations of the group.
