I am constantly glad that I spent the effort to separate anything I do with my real name from my general Internet activities. I've also generally avoided doing things like posting pictures of my room or even my desktop if I can help it (this one is mostly so I don't instantly dox myself by posting my desktop between my real name identity and my general web one).
I could be turbo paranoid and have separate user accounts or vms or somenting for that, but it is more effort than it's worth; my threat model is geared toward making it hard to connect the dots (since you wouldn't have a reason to) while not unduly inconveniencing myself.
