Today (if I manage to finish everything today) I will be gifting a PC to my dad. It is a still decent computer (6x3.0ghz cpu, 16gb 2666mhz ram, 1660 super or something type of computer and monitor is a 1080/144) because I don't use it and I do not need it at the moment. It is insufficient for an AI station or private remote computing server, so it is wasteful not using it. He has quite a bit of files so I will include a 1tb drive too.

I will clone my daily arch with all imaginable programs and settings already in place for his system. He uses no special windows programs so it will suffice. I hope he doesn't break it because I will not fork my instance just for him and I will not edit my main instance each time for him. Or will I? I include stuff like mouse, keyboard, monitor and headset and all cables with the PC. I will also make him learn how to make his phone into a wifi hotspot or usb source, and connect it to the internet this way as he has no other internet sources.

After I make sure the system is good to go we will carry it to his place, then I assemble it and test it and teach him the basics. I know he will not touch the terminal. I will leave him notes on basic stuff anyway. KDE arch should be similar enough to windows. I am thinking on partitioning the 1tb drive in a way to leave like 300gbs for a dual boot windows that I could eventually add but windows being this dumb and pointless recently makes me hesitate. I also am not sure whether to keep the filesystem fully encrypted or decrypted for him. I guess I will keep it behind a password.

After I am done I will pull out my laptop, connect dac-amp and headset and I will make him listen and enjoy touhou arenji flacs. I guess I will bring beer too. I personally like vodka with cola better but he likes beer a lot. He had some songs he liked when he was young, so I will look for flacs of them too. There are some touhou arenji whose lyrics impress me so I got to translate a few for him too. I wish I could get touhou to run properly on my machine but lutris rapes me because proton seems to refuse touhou and crashes, and wine summons it underclocked and unstable. I will investigate later. I will just bring my throwaway windows for playing touhou.

Akatsuki Records have good quality instruments so I will select some and nobody shouts like Stack, I like Sally so I will stick a few in too, Yuuhei have a few good songs and instruments are really good, East New Sound has songs that would challenge a headset but mine goes strong. Silver Forest, Zytokine, Yonder Voice, Halozy and Tsubaki with an enchanting voice (I wonder if Tsubaki is not too much for a first listen), and a few Riverside songs! Yes! And Frozen Starfall, these germs have a talent and I will definitely get Lunartanz and Zauberschein and Ewige Nacht.

I will now go and begin the act! I can post pictures summarising steps, objectives and results.

I wonder how it turns out.

Afterwards I hope I will finally make my pi run arch. I am too lazy for too long.
