i dont know anything about working with cornstarch clay.

but when i do stuff with fast trying clay, i use an exacto knife to cut small pieces, after they dry i used a file or very fine sand paper to smooth them or sharpen their edges.
This kind of stuff is super hard to do when its that tiny, working with clay that small, when its still squishy is difficult.
