LMAO I'm 100% sure that the portrait photo was AI "enhanced" to reflect modern beauty standards.

I used to work in a small photo shop for two and a half years, I've seen thousands of vintage photos from every decade of the last 130 years.

A lot of times people only have some shitty ass 3 x 5 inch damaged washed out group photo printed way back in the 1900's and they ask to "do something about it". In that case we would scan the photo, edit it and "enhance" with the AI (it was a bit before the AI craze). Some clients didn't approve the result as they thought that it feels "somewhat unrealistic" (it really was!). But most of the time they were excited to see the end result. Some also asked for the colorization or additional artistic effects.

I'm 100% sure that's the case. I've seen so much of this shit that I can tell for sure.
