if the RAM and disk were onboard the SoC, I could maybe see the argument, since you would have the extremely tight coupling
but they aren't, and any possible performance gap is offset entirely by the fact that flash storage is a consumable

in my MacBook Air, I have had to replace the SSD (which was socketed back then, thankfully) in the decade that I've had it
