When I read that line, the rhythm I perceive is [. . . _ . _ . _ ] (mak-eth-mine-HEART to-MELT like-WAX) instead of [. _ . _ . _ . _ ] (mak-ETH mine-HEART to-MELT like-WAX) since putting the emphasis on -ETH feels unnatural. Since the rest of it is [. _ . _ . _ . _ ], it doesn't flow well IMHO
