These days, there's entire hardware releases like the Steam Deck that don't even attempt to make use of X.org anything when running games, there's entire distros and desktop environments that no longer support X11, noone remotely aware of the current state of display technology and 3D work/gaming development would even entertain the notion of X11 being anything more than a children's toy at this point.
Measuring the modern day by the standards of 10 years ago is common luddite-speak, I want no part of it!
