She has similar counterparts in Buddhism, at least in Tibetan Buddhism anyway. You may have seen a Tibetan goddess depicted as a topless woman wearing a skirt made of human arms, a necklace made of human heads or skulls, holding a bowl made from a skull filled with blood, while standing or dancing on a figure laying on the ground. I forget her name in Tibetan Buddhism but her iconography is virtually the same as Kali's.
